The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it can be alarmed regarding the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the superior range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA sassa services.

“This really is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area each sassa day. The support stage produced for intervention ordeals a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to enable the servicing of all prospects and maximize usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
